The Journey Begins Now!
Day 01: Delhi to Manali (570 Kms / 14 hrs)
Today you will meet your Tour Manager and board the bus and leave for Manali by evening, dinner en-route. Overnight Journey.
Day 02: Arrive Manali
Upon arrival in Manali check in at our Hotel The Orchard Greens or Similar and rest of the time at leisure to explore the beauty of Manali on your own.
Day 03: Manali – Sarchu (222 Kms / 08 hrs approx. )
Today we cross Rohtang Pass (3978 m), Keylong (3350 m), Baralacha Pass (4890m) with overnight stopover at Sarchu (4253 m) – Rashpin / Goldrop Camps, border of the states of Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul) and Jammu & Kashmir (Ladakh).
Day 04: Sarchu - Leh (255 Kms / 08 hrs approx.)
Today we leave for Leh by early morning, through Nakeela and Lachangla Pass 16,617 ft. Lunch at Pang. After Lunch drive to Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and Highest Plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms), Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft and Indus Valley. Upon arrival at leh check in at our hotel Lumbini or Ri Rab for stay.
Day 05: Leh (06 hours approx.)
Excursion to Shey, Thiksey, Hemis, Stok
Today we proceed for Indus Valley monastery tour covering, Shey the ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey Gompa an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Hemis Gompa, This is the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism and Stok Palace on the way back to Leh
Day 06: Leh – Hunder (Nubra Valley) (126 Kms / Approx 06 Hours Drive)
Post breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Upon arrival in Nubra Valley First visit SUMUR, pretty village on the other side of the river'; SAMSTANLING GOMPA. Overnight stay at Nubra Organic Retreat
Day 07: Hunder (Nubra Valley) – Leh (126 Kms / Approx 06 Hours Drive)
After your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional). Later we drive to Leh over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Leh {Excursion to Pangong Lake} (300 Kms / 10 hrs approx.)
Early morning we leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass (5486 Mtrs). Pangong Lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China.
Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. After spending some time at pangong we drive back to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 09: Depart Leh
Tour concludes. Mountain Trails thank you for your patronage and ensure a punctual transfer to Domestic Airport to catch the flight for your onward Destination
Extension of the Tour (03 Nights – Alchi, Kargil & Srinagar)!
Day 09: Leh – Alchi (67 Kms / 02 hrs approx)
Post breakfast we check from the hotel enroute visiting Phyang Monastery, Likir gompa & Basgo Castle. And drive further to Alchi, Ladakh's most loved monastery. After visiting the Alchi Monastery we check in at our Camp Eco Green Leafs for Overnight stay.
Day 10: Alchi – Lamayuru – Kargil (160 Kms / 05 hrs approx.)
Post breakfast we check out from Camp and drive to Kargil enroute visiting Lamayuru monastery. After visiting the monastery we drive straight to Kargil over Fatu-la [13,489 ft] which is the highest pass on Srinagar – Leh road.
Upon arrival in Kargil check in at Hotel Siachen for Overnight stay
Day 11: Kargil to Srinagar (07 hrs approx.)
After early Breakfast by 6.00 am drive to Srinagar passing through Drass, the second coldest inhabited Place on earth and you can have spectacular view of Kargil War famous Peaks Tiger Hill and Tololing Peak. Pay a tribute to Vijay Smarak, dedicated to Indian Soldiers who laid their lives for us during Kargil War in 1999. Arrive Srinagar by Afternoon. Rest of the time for own activities. O/N in Deluxe House Boats
Day 12: Depart Srinagar (By Flight)
Morning enjoy a relaxing Shikara ride on Dal Lake, which is one of the most soothing & relaxing aspects of a holiday in Kashmir. Later you will be transferred to Srinagar airport in time to board flight to back home.
